How much does it cost to become a driving instructor?

The official DVSA fees add up to £743 if you pass everything first time and take a trainee licence, before training, DBS check and car costs.

Each retake costs the test fee again, and registration renewal is £300 every 4 years. Training courses, the DBS check and your car are extra and vary widely. Fees change, so check GOV.UK.
